I forgot one other thing. When applying for a 1st Gen COW you are able to "overextend" your defined property area. That is to say, if you have an area of extreme interest you are allowed to stake an area much larger than this(obviously it can't have already been staked). As you progress thru the COW's 1st thru 7th, you will be politely asked to decrease the size of your property to a more defined area. So you may start with 500,000 hectares but by the time you get your 7th Gen COW the property will have been deminished to "target area only". This prevents companies tying up 100's of hectares that they are not working on.

Thanks for the clarification Chief. I was going on information I received some time ago that I kept on file, and thought some kind of definition would be helpful. Sounds like you have a better grip on this than I so will take your definition unless someone else says different here.
