Here's an event tip for the Disney fanatics in southern California --- On Tuesday night, Feb. 3, Disney's Senior VP for Imagineering, Tony Baxter, will be giving a free lecture at California State University, Long Beach on how Disney rides are created. The lecture starts at 7 PM in the Gerald R. Daniel Recital Hall. For further information, call (562) 985-4326. Here's an online story from Businessweek regarding Pixar and Disney's decision to provide Toy Story II with a theatrical release: businessweek.com In the same issue an article discusses Pixar's estimate of its productivity: Pixar believes that it can now produce one animated movie a year instead of one every two years. Let's hope that the Pixar/Disney partnership will prove even more mutually lucrative in the future, starting with the forthcoming Bug Story.
