Vladimir,

It means starting your investment decision process at the top ie: Based
on what I know about the world economy, interest rates, growth, demographics, political considerations...do I want to be in stocks? If yes then the next step is what type of stocks....technology..
definitely...which sectors? Well tellecommunications...yes...networking yes...semiconductors...yes...software...yes. The next decision is what companies in those sectors...DSC? Maybe! To this point all fundamental and company specific risk has not been analyzed. Who are the competitors, what about R&D, product obsolesence, pricing pressures, management risk, and others.
I'm a finance guy, and can get down to this level and then need some help which is why I lurk here. Down to the company level DIGI looks good, below that opinions are mixed but appear generally favorable.

Those who pick the right techs will be handsomely rewarded in the next 5 years. Those who pick the wrong ones will be dependent on Clinton's social security bailout.

I sure hope I guess right.

Have a good evening!
