You can upload image files but that's it as far as uploading and embedding. You can embed links to other sites if they are a picture of the right type, you can also embed twitter links, youtube links and custom links. Its all in the bottom bar of the editor when you post. But you can't upload or otherwise embed things like word documents, spreadsheets, PDFs, etc. You can link to them either showing the full url or just showing what text you want the link to have, but that's it. I looked back on my post that you replied to and see that I made my own error. Mine was just a typo. I said that it was a picture of a car messing with a phone rather than a cat.
