Even with documentation.. I can't make sense of even the documentation
in any program older than, um, month.

Also, if you're sadistic, you can write cryptic documentation (pretty easy I think), use wierd counter-intuitive variable names.. etc.
Any special tricks you use?

Do I detect an 'ear to ear' grin here? You BETCHA! Part of the problem is that it takes soooo much time to update the documentation that doesn't really 'run the program'. Even more clever, is to leave the old notes with the new code! You ought to watch somebody try to use those notes and make your code follow it! (What a RIOT)

Keep CODING!
