Yeah, it's about time Shep paid his fair share instead of throwing it on the rest of us. How could an old retired guy lose $18k in taxes due to SALT reductions? SALT is limited to $10k. Let's assume he's in the 24% bracket. This implies he has been screwed out of writing off $75k of SALT. Either he lives in one of the largest mansions in NY or his IBM pension is in the millions. I feel his pain! To be fair, I live in CA and was screwed out of ~3k the past couple of years but I was working.
