Yes, you made a mistake but it’s a mistake all / most / many of us are making. We tend to read headlines and thus become selective readers. I for one have essentially ditched most US based Covid media as a huge percentage of the coverage is clearly politically motivated and this swings both ways. The only really worthwhile recent news IMHO is the fact that the EU is not welcoming US visitors. That’s an expensive decision and I am sure, they did not make it lightly.
