Just guessing, they might be wanting cash now, royalties way in advance of production, something like that ... in any case, it's some kind of shakedown, they'll be wanting all they can get ... don't know, have never been to the area, but this sort of thing happens around our area which is far to the south, seventeenth degree of latitude, and authorities just tend to let it work out by itself as long as nobody is physically hurt [and sometimes even then] ... even when the army was fully involved in Chiapas, the way they kept their reputation for being the least corrupt entity in the area was by riding around in trucks showing off their teenagers with machine guns, and pretty much ignoring minor things like life/death of businesses behind blockade lines ... only when tourists were inconvenienced did they wag a finger, and poof the roads opened, just like that

Now you've got me thinking about svb ... trouble is no money, got strong mental block against selling any PMs position, like all my picks very much and plan to hold them past the short term for sure ... including the svb i hold, smallish speckie positions in near all accounts ... most cash i've had recently came from paring back tuo.v which got way overweight, but that's all spent now

U of Otago, Tim B - that's right, i'd forgotten [should mention that we've been on the ktn thread] ... i hear Dunedin regained the title for Baldwin St as the steepest street in the world, month or two ago, wee great bloody to-do that would be eh
