Historic Digital Revolution in Entertainment Will be Hot Topic At Kagan Seminar in Hollywood Feb. 11-12 Tuesday, January 27 2:22 PM ET

CARMEL, Calif. (BUSINESS WIRE) - The most sweeping technological evolution in the history of television, film and video will be the hot topic at Paul Kagan's DIGITAL ENTERTAINMENT SUMMIT, Wednesday-Thursday, February 11-12, at the Wyndham Bel Age Hotel in Hollywood.

This conference will bring key players from motion picture, home video and high-tech companies together with leading executives from the cable, satellite and computer industries to explore how the digitization of the entertainment media is redefining business models and strategic plans and how it will change the way Hollywood attracts and dazzles the American consumer in the 21st century.

On Day Two of the summit, Satellite DIRECT magazine will release an exclusive Satellite DIRECT/Nielsen Media Research study of consumer demand, pricing and marketing of pay-per view (PPV) on digital broadcast satellite (DBS) systems. This is the first research of its kind and the first time details of the study will be released publicly.

Speakers at this Kagan conference will address the future of DBS, the value of movie and TV libraries in the digital era and the challenges streaming video over the Internet and high-speed access technologies pose to digital PPV and video-on-demand offerings.
