<Other sectors unreasonably hit like OSX?>
Does anybody know of any other sectors in the U.S. market where the stock prices have been killed without significant downgrades in earnings estimates? Or a sector with such incredibly good (at least apparently) fundamentals (projected 1 and 2 yr PE's in the 5 to 10 range)? This may sound facetious, but I'm being serious. If there is one, I'll add it to my site.

Debra, if you are looking to buy in at this point for long, long term investment, you can go ahead with any deepwater drillers. We know at this uncertain time the drillers are low in price but they can go lower (30% more is not inconceivable) still. The risk is there. Short term TA says we have to wait for more basing before they can move up. If you really have the itchy fingers syndrome, consider a buy stop. Place a buy stop order at a price higher than today's high for today and if not triggered, tomorrow. If there is a reversal, your stop will trigger and you're in. If they tank in the face of RISING CRUDE and RISING S&P, you're insulated from holding even more risk. We have seen this before. They are low and can go lower.

All my indicators and gut feeling says we are going to be in a trading range for a while, gyrating up and down. March 18 is the anticipated next lease sale in GOM. That may prop up some enthusiasm when the date comes near. Expect the deepwaters to continue to benefit from the heavy talk of their highest demand. Don't discount the shallow water as well. In fact, don't discount any driller because rising tide still raises all boats.

MDCO is not close to its lower BB yet. Therefore the weakness these few days are expected. UTI hit the bottom of the lower BB yesterday. If it can close near $15, the lower BB will not sink further down. NE reports tomorrow right? I expect it to receive the same treatment as ESV today.
