Looks like she is being setup for offing w/ plausible reasons and venue arranged per script

And her alleged crimes emphasized so as to remove reasons for diligence as and when and if she should be off-ed

Am certain enough that she is guilty as charged, at the top-most layer of truth. The puzzle is of course how she and Epstein were able to getaway w/ it for so long and who were their customers, financiers, patrons, co-conspirators, etc etc

Should her trial go forth my faith in the justice system would be restored only to the point that the opposition(s) have clout to protect her whilst in jail. Should the event be hiccuped I would guess the deep-state is very deep.

The fact that Ghislaine Maxwell did NOT abscond to France tells me she is either a cretin or she thought she is very well sponsored and protected because she knows a lot.

She would do well to write a book, naming names and recalling places; not to make money but to save her own life.

Let’s see.

'Crushing experience' awaits Ghislaine Maxwell at troubled jail

Tom Hals
(Reuters) - Ghislaine Maxwell was detained on Monday in a troubled U.S. jail in Brooklyn where she will undergo humiliating searches and be denied nearly all possessions, a far cry from the luxury estate where she was arrested as an accused accomplice of Jeffrey Epstein.

Maxwell, 58, arrived at the federal Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) in Brooklyn on Monday and is expected to appear in a Manhattan courtroom on Friday when a judge will consider a government request to detain her without bail.

“You go from living a life like Maxwell to all of a sudden being in a situation where you’re being strip-searched and having people look into your body cavities,” said Cameron Lindsay, a former warden at the MDC. “That is a crushing experience.”

Christian Everdell, a New York lawyer for Maxwell, did not respond to a request for comment.

Federal prosecutors in Manhattan have accused the socialite of luring underage girls so that Epstein could sexually abuse them at lavish mansions in Palm Beach, Florida; New Mexico and Manhattan.

Epstein was awaiting trial on federal charges of trafficking minors between 2002 and 2005 when he was found hanging by his neck in a different federal jail in New York City in August. Medical examiners concluded his death was a suicide.

Epstein’s demise added to the mystery of his rise from a high-school math teacher to a globe-trotting money manager with powerful connections that victims said allowed him to abuse minors with impunity.

Lindsay said MDC officials will have to weigh whether to keep Maxwell in her 10-foot-by-12-foot (about 3-meter-by-3.7-meter) cell alone or housed with another female prisoner.

A cellmate might help prevent her from attempting suicide, a critical issue following Epstein’s death, but Lindsay said the nature of her charges and her high profile also makes her a target.

For other prisoners, injuring Maxwell “would be a badge of honor,” said Lindsay.

Maxwell’s life with Epstein was one of private jets, Caribbean islands and partying with luminaries including Prince Andrew of the United Kingdom.

After Epstein’s arrest, she was hiding out on a 156-acre (63-hectare) estate in New Hampshire and had access to 15 bank accounts with combined balances that at times topped $20 million, according to court records.

At the MDC, Maxwell will be issued a T-shirt and other basic clothing, a thin mattress, pillow and blanket. She may be allowed to have an approved religious medallion or book, such as the Bible, according to Lindsay.

Detainees “have nothing of their personal property,” he said.

Her new location, with a capacity of 1,600 men and women, has had its share of famous residents, including singer R. Kelly, accused of sex abuse, and Martin Shkreli, a former chief executive convicted of defrauding investors and dubbed “pharma bro” by New York tabloids.

Lindsay said the jail is known among Bureau of Prison staff for its problems over the years.

Last year a lawsuit alleged a “humanitarian crisis” was unfolding at the jail after a power failure at the center left prisoners enduring days of frigid temperatures in dark cells.

At the start of the COVID-19 crisis in New York in March, the MDC was among the jails that judges declined to send defendants because of fears about overcrowding and the spread of the novel coronavirus.

Re << Im just wondering if they get creative or off her in the same way. The options are a bit limited in jail cell>>

Apparently the perps are as puzzled and are angling for time, and venture to guess that Ms Ghislaine is in great danger and / or has great wherewithal.

Gunman Kills Son Of Federal Judge Recently Assigned To Epstein Case

When we first spotted headlines about a lone gunman's lethal assault on the home of a federal judge in New Jersey, we feared this was just another example of how criminals have been emboldened by the nationwide backlash against law enforcement embodied by the 'defund the police' movement.

But that was before we learned that the judge targeted in the attack - Newark-based US federal judge Esther Salas - had been assigned to a Deutsche Bank/Epstein lawsuit just four days before the attack.

The shooting occurred Sunday night at around 5pmET. Salas 20-year-old son Daniel Anderl, a student, opened the door at the family home in North Brunswick after hearing the doorbell ring. The man outside appeared to be a FedEx employee, according to media reports.

Almost immediately, the gunman started blasting, shooting and killing Anderl, and badly wounding his father, Mark Anderl, 63, a prominent defense attorney in the area. Salas has reportedly received threats from time to time, but local press reported that Salas hadn't received any threats recently.

Seated in Newark, Salas' most high-profile cases recently involved the tax evasion prosecution of Joe Giudice, the husband of RHNJ star Theresa Giudice. She also spared a murderous gang leader from the death penalty over what she ruled was an intellectual disability that made him ineligible for capital punishment.

But Salas is now presided over an ongoing lawsuit brought by Deutsche Bank investors who claim the company made false and misleading statements about its AML policies while failing to monitor "high-risk" customers like sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Since the arrest of Ghislaine Maxwell, public interest in all things Epstein has been revived.

The FBI revealed last night that it will be spearheading the investigation into the slaying.

Investigators said they're looking into any connections to the Epstein/DB lawsuit, while also investigating any connections to her husband's work as a criminal defense attorney.

The FBI's announcement was met with a sarcastic response by many on twitter.

The FBI says it's looking for one suspect. The Marshals Service is also carrying out its own investigation, since the agency takes its responsibility to protect federal officials "very seriously".

So far, authorities have refused to confirm that the Epstein connection might have been a motive. A friend of the judge's said Salas hadn't received any threats recently.

Salas, 51, was New Jersey’s first Hispanic woman to serve as a US district judge. She was nominated by Barack Obama in 2010, and confirmed by the Senate the following year.

Man Found Dead May Be Linked to Shooting At NJ Judge's House

News media cameras are set up in front of the home of U.S. District Judge Esther Salas, in North Brunswick, New Jersey on July 20.

Photographer: Mark Lennihan/AP Photo(AP) -- A gunman posing as a FedEx delivery person shot and killed the 20-year-old son of a federal judge and wounded her husband at their New Jersey home before fleeing, authorities said.

The shooting happened Sunday evening at the North Brunswick home of U.S. District Judge Esther Salas, and killed her son, Daniel, Chief District Judge Freda Wolfson told The Associated Press. Her husband, defense lawyer Mark Anderl, was injured in the attack, Wolfson said.

Investigators are examining a possible connection between the shooting and the body of a man found dead Monday from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound in Sullivan County, New York, a law enforcement official said.

The man, an attorney from New York City, is being investigated in connection with the shooting, the law enforcement official and a judiciary official told The Associated Press. The man had appeared before the judge in the past, the officials said.

The officials could not discuss an ongoing investigation publicly and spoke to the AP on condition of anonymity.

Daniel Anderl, Salas' son, was set to be heading back shortly to The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C., where he was named to the Dean’s List this spring.

“I was shocked last night to hear news of Daniel Anderl’s tragic death Sunday evening in New Jersey. Daniel was a rising junior, enrolled for classes beginning in the next few weeks,” university President John Garvey wrote on Twitter. “He turned 20 last week.”

Esther Salas, seated in Newark, was nominated by President Barack Obama and confirmed in 2011. Prior to that, she served as a U.S. Magistrate Judge in New Jersey, after working as an assistant public defender for several years.

Salas, born in California to a Cuban immigrant mother and Mexican father, spent most of her childhood in Union City, New Jersey. After helping her family escape a devastating house fire, she acted as her mother’s translator and advocate, foreshadowing her career in law as she argued her family’s case to welfare officials, according to a 2018 magazine profile.

In the profile, Salas spoke of her son possibly following his parents into the legal profession.

“He’s been arguing with us since he could talk — practicing his advocacy skills," Salas told New Jersey Monthly. “I don't want to dissuade him, but I was pulling for a doctor.”

Just last week, Salas was appointed to hear an ongoing lawsuit brought by Deutsche Bank investors who claim the company made false and misleading statements about its anti-money laundering policies and failed to monitor “high-risk” customers including convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

Her highest-profile case in recent years was the financial fraud case involving husband-and-wife “Real Housewives of New Jersey” reality TV stars Teresa and Joe Giudice, whom Salas sentenced to prison for crimes including bankruptcy fraud and tax evasion. Salas staggered their sentences so that one of them could be available to take care of their four children.

In 2017, she barred federal prosecutors from seeking the death penalty against an alleged gang leader charged in several Newark slayings, ruling the man’s intellectual disability made him ineligible for capital punishment. Salas later sentenced the man to 45 years in prison.

Attorney General William Barr said in a statement Monday that the FBI and the U.S. Marshals will continue investigating the shooting, adding: “This kind of lawless, evil action carried out against a member of the federal judiciary will not be tolerated.”

Democratic New Jersey Sen. Bob Menendez, who backed Salas's nomination to the federal bench, said he hoped “those responsible for this horrendous act are swiftly apprehended and brought to justice” in a statement Sunday night.

In an emailed statement, Democratic New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy called the shooting “a senseless act” and said "this tragedy is our latest reminder that gun violence remains a crisis in our country and that our work to make every community safer isn’t done.”

Newly unsealed documents describe Ghislaine Maxwell's abuse of one of Epstein's alleged victims

(CNN) — Virginia Giuffre, an alleged victim of Jeffrey Epstein, describes the psychological toll of Epstein's abuse in portions of a newly released deposition from May 3, 2016.

Giuffre has previously described being recruited by Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein's onetime girlfriend who has been described as a "recruiter" for Epstein's purported sex trafficking ring, as a teenager, and has alleged she was instructed by Maxwell to have sex with numerous men including Prince Andrew.

In her deposition, Giuffre is pressed by attorneys to provide additional names of men who Maxwell "directed her" to have sex with. The attorney conducting the interview names several, including Prince Andrew, former New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson, and an individual described as "another prince," and another individual described as "the large hotel chain owner."
