Its not a question of AOC's popularity, I think she's a great voice for whom she advocates. It's a question of what the US voters think, especially in battleground and red Senate states like Kentucky. And unfortunately, the bad guys want left-activist AOC to be the face of the Democratic party. Its the same reason I could not be successful in national politics, but I would have a good chance in Oakland if I wanted it. I'm the perfect foil as a "libtard" because i want a lot of reforms and regulation. The issue is not ideological purity anymore. That cow left the barn and ain't coming back in this election. Democracy has become soiled toilet paper and we would merely like to return it to messy-normal-with-integrity. It's winning back the government to stop corrupt and/or right wing extremists from their carnage. Its about saving the ACA and transparency. We can get to higher taxes for the middle class, defunding the military and ending ICE, and single-payer later. Just win baby.
