--we are left without compass and the ship at faraway sea-- seems that there is a compass. maybe more highly nuanced than pre "social media"... requires the ability to evaluate various perspectives, rather than just assume that 'the news', what one reads/sees/hears, is 'accurate'... astute evaluators of 'the news' are better at understanding their are various perspectives that combine to affect society/s. could be that the compass is less direct, but still directive, in a wandering/nomadic sort of path... while noticing zombies/narcissists/pirates/etc. are wandering about, as well. just guessing. -g-
