My overall thought is that people who live in the country are much nicer. They seem more rooted. I lived in a very liberal part of STL and yes there are nice folks everywhere but that wasn't far from the McClosky's or the people gunned down by STLU (Greitens gave CPR to one of the victims). We have areas that don't uphold the law as well.

I agree you can enjoy life where ever and some of it comes down to a personal decision. I like rural / county life much more than city life. My exodus was hastened when the government refused to protect private property (Michael Brown).

I guess most of us are very lucky because we have a choice of where we can live.
