Jim, FWIW...I use the vix and trin...(type in vix for the chart on that web site)the ticks don't ever help me much.PATIENCE is the only way I can win with puts/calls.Watching the trend and waiting for a reversal doesn't usually happen as fast as I think it should or would like it to.I hate that part!IMHO we are neither overbought or oversold.Best not to take new positions until the market tells us what it wants to do next.I am out of calls now and waiting for a point to go short.Not trying to make a killing and may have to wait until next week...i rarely keep a position over the weekend.
