I'm glad you liked the Montague poem, Jim. Do you read or write poetry? Considering we are mainly investors, there certainly is a great interest in poetry at SI. Yes, Monica seems to be an active young lady. If I can moralize for just a moment here, based on my own personal experience of having a mother with MUSHY MORALS, it is a very difficult affliction from which to recover. I struggled for years trying to reparent myself, and establish rules to live by that were consistent and ethical, and teach these to my own daughter as well. Children look to their parents for guidance, and girls emulate their mothers. When you throw in Monica's low self-esteem, her parents' divorce and growing up in one of the most self-indulgent places on earth, a clearer picture emerges which is not flattering. I do still think that regardless of what sick emotional needs she was trying to fulfill, she was not part of any conspiracy to topple Clinton. She was immature and indiscreet--an accident looking for a place to happen--simply landing in the middle of a situation Clinton created for himself, in my opinion at least. Lucianne Goldberg is clearly relishing her role, trying to "get" Clinton any way she can. Linda Tripp is still something of a puzzle to me. But the funniest, or strangest, at least, thing that happened today was Dick Morris' radio interview, where he proceeded to say that perhaps there was a sexual problem in Clinton's marriage, and that his wife was not inclined to have frequent sexual relations with MEN, implying to me at least that he was alleging she prefers women. Of course, we have heard that before--when she was not having sex with Vince Foster!! Now Morris was apparently immediately iced by the White House--he is unpredictable anyway--but it also occurred to me that what he said may have been planned, deliberate, part of the spin. One thing I can say for sure is that watching the spin makes it seem so transparent. The American public seems to eat it up, but I can see right through it (and I am not psychic)! What a confusing situation!!
