Very few ever pay all cash (Except me).

Some write a check, but their personal banker gets the loan.

Auto's are necessary evils that cost a lot of money.

They depreciate fast enough, let alone have interest on them.

When I entered the retail market, I was amazed ayt how many people put nothing down. Financing a one year license plate for 6 years!

I started in Finance at the largest Chevy dealer in the country at the time - what an education for the son of a banker in a small town in Wisconsin (who worked as a bank teller at age 14).

Our educational system should include personal finance courses. It's criminal what we do and don't teach our kids.

Teachers are a great source of knowledge, but if you took out the exceptional teachers - it would be a sad lot of underperformers. I don't mean that to be derogatory, and yes I include many professors of my 6 years in college.

Some are truly great and a lot of marginal book learned folks who wouldn't make it out there if it were not for seniority based protection.
