I agree.. that was the way.. but it is far easier to maintain distance in the boonies.. and follow protocols.. Planes.. that is exactly it.. it simply flew in.. When my daughter arrived from Australia I posted about the utter lack of control or prevention... (March) we self isolated for about 16 days in the Laurentians.. were able to go for daily walks around the lake.. saw folks but from the other side of the roads.. nearest neighbour in winder / early spring is 200 yards away.. Life was good... no issues... it was nice and calm.. a couple of trips into town for food/supplies.. masked etc.. isolated yet a lot of freedom.. you don't get that in the city... just sayin' but I am a proponent of dispersal already.. especially with the advent of renewable energy tech... .. My home province (Quebec, where most of my family is) and current province (Ontario) were hard hit.. due to initial reticence... coming out of it nicely now.. very nicely actually.. heavily urban areas need wait longer for more things to open.. why ? More rural areas did not suffer as hard lockdowns... why ? In Ontario and QC same story... and both governments willing to turn on a dime.. mantra is we do not want to go back.. do your share... Actually in QC they locked down travel to/fro areas that had little exposure.. .. EXACTLY to keep it that way... The federal governments in US and Canada let it waltz right in.. China did not send it here contrary to what Mr. Trump says.. He and Mr. Trudeau said come on down.. and it came.. Canada smartened up.. The US not so much.. There is an old song by the Kinks.. Dedicated follower of fashion.. Canada ? not so much.. dedicated followers of science and reality.. :) Phew ! Our Fed gove (controls the in/out) screwed up .. but then all levels of government here stepped up and worked together.. no politicizing.. although hat will surely come when all is said and done LOL The likelihood of another pandemic ? high.. especially if we continue the way of the mega city
