Our daughter, husband and two babies are in Santiago. But we intended to be here for about 3 weeks before heading for Lima, where my Peruana wife has some family issues to deal with. So we are stuck here by the pandemic for 6 months, instead of spending 5 months in Peru. The silver lining is that it has given me plenty of time to devote to investing, at a rather opportune time for getting into gold, silver and uranium - or so it seems. Unfortunately the lockdowns have prevented us from seeing much of our grandchildren. With any luck we'll be able to visit them next month.

Prison guards switch off security cameras to give Ghislaine Maxwell privacy during ‘difficult time’

TOPICS: Ghislaine Maxwell Prison

Prison guards have revealed that they’ve decided to switch off all security cameras focused on Ghislaine Maxwell so that she can have some privacy during this trying time. All six of the security cameras that were focused on Ms Maxwell have been turned off entirely to respect her privacy as she awaits trial.

‘We decided to do this out of respect for Ms Maxwell’s human rights. We wanted to give her privacy and some space during this difficult adjustment period for her,’
one guard told us.

It’s for this reason that Maxwell has also been taken off 24-hour guard watch. Instead, guards will check up on her once every six hours.

‘It’s important to give new inmates some time where they don’t feel like they’re being watched. That way they can do whatever they feel needs to be done,’ said another guard.

Rumours that two shady men belonging to an unknown agency have been circling the prison are unsubstantiated at this time.
