Just because the short viewpoints are well known and old doesn't make them invalid. There were long-term short viewpoints of Apple that eventually were borne out. I think the NT server/workstation snowball is just gaining momentum.

It's quite possible that this move up is just the first leg up, but it's also possible that it is a (non-fundamental) reaction to tech devaluation from Asian scare. You say Sun is undervalued? Why?

It trades at a healthy P/E despite what I view as limited visibility 2 years out. How are the longs valuing Sun and what is your target price?

BTW, I think the NC could also fall to the ultra-thin client. A good example of a better NC is a Citrix/MS Hydra solution where the apps run on server but GUI (not program) is transmitted over net. This would also allow heterogeneous clients (Macs as well as PCs) and allow local computing as well as transparent networking computing.
