Rarebird, That isn't what progressives stand for. It is called equal opportunity ( free public college) to succeed whether you have the $$$ or not. Have you seen what "progressives" stand for these days? Equal opportunity isn't enough. It's all about equalizing outcomes. If all you cared about was equal opportunity, you would NOT be in favor of affirmative action, for example. You would NOT be in favor of wealth redistribution. You would NOT support the new California law mandating that 20% of a company's Board of Directors be female. Everything the left believes in now is all about equalizing outcomes. Even Alexandria Occasional-Cortex wants to pay people who are unwilling to work. Even the "free college" thing is all about giving out college degrees like participation trophies. Degrees like "gender studies" and "interpretive dance" are the ultimate in fru-fru snowflake nonsense. Tenchusatsu
