>>>"This is typical Market Maker activity... They are trying to steal shares away from investors... On days like this I buy... I like to use the Market Makers as a Contrarian trading tool..."

This was a strange and somewhat out-of-character comment from you. As there is no way an individual, retail investor can reliably and factually assert that weakness in a stock is due to any sort of collective "manipulation" by the dealers (especially since manipulation, as defined by the average retail investor, almost never occurs), I am curious about the basis for your inference.<<<

Christopher:

The basis of my opinion is the "Scare Phenomena" I've seen on several occasions... It goes like this... You are getting close to Earnings reporting time... The fundamentals look good... Yet, the technicals don't reflect positive earnings anticipation... Then, all of a sudden, there is a quick drop in the Bid and Ask... People think, maybe there will be a bad Earnings report, and try to get out at any price... Then, mysteriously, the price jumps up on large volume... People are stunned that they were stopped out, or just sold in a panic...

Shorlty after this, the Earnings report comes out, and it is a good one, and the stock jumps...

The only people that have control over the buys and sells beside the traders are the market makers... Since they are in the middle of the transaction, they have the ability to affect an orderly market for the stock... Do I have proof??? No... Have I made money shadowing their shenanigans and going contrary to the illogical trading? Yes...

You'll see that I did it today on the APCO thread...

My apologies to the honest Market Makers... The rotten apples give them a bad name...
