NETSCAPE HAMMERED--SO WHY ALL THE SMILES IN MOUNTAIN VIEW?
news.com
Summary
Check out this laundry list of woes: a huge Q4 loss, 300 layoffs, a 12
percent stock plunge, an uncertain strategy going forward, and the
Microsoft juggernaut gunning for it 24-7. If this is the end of Netscape's
glory days, why is the mood there so upbeat?

Hi Stephan,

According, to todays trading day on Netscape stock has really got me
skeptical,

1- I was really expecting a 1 to 2 point decline. Yes earnings were much worse than the market had expected.

2-We had 2 downgrades #1 HOLD , & #2 WEAK BUY.

3-Yes, the markets were soaring today, but with weak earnings and
two downgrades we had a great day. Well go figure!

The only thing I could think of is really a merger or a takeover, YES
really a merger or a takeover someone out there knows something more than we all do. And it could be in the very near term.

WELL, where there's smoke there's fire. Maybe all the rumors will
materialize after all. I just hope its to our greatest benefit.

regards,

Giota

P.S. I'am still very bullish!
