a reverse stock split:

If the split is 10:1
You recieve 1 shares for every 10 youu own

EXample: You own 1000 shares

after the reveerse split you own 100 shares

if price at split time is .75 per share
price after split is 7.50 per share
100 shares cost 750.00

This is usually not a good thing

But better than delisting.
