I don't understand????

The company makes a significant announcement about adding 100
new employees in 1998 and 90% of the posts in the last couple
of days are about an inane hypothetical reverse split.

The only reason stocks go down after a reverse split is because
they are continuing the trend they were following before the
split. Who does reverse splits? Companies whose stocks have
gone down considerably because they were poorly run or their stocks
were previously Hyped (like Triby).

Let's get back to the issue of new hires. Lets assume they are
hired at an even pace throughout the year. That gives the company
average 50 new people on the payroll at about $30,000 per year
for a total of $1.5 million in expense. Not to mention benefits,
overhead, hiring expenses, and training expenses. Assuming
generously that the company can generate a 15% pretax margin
on sales, they have to generate another $10 million in revenue
(a 50% increase) just to break even, let alone make a profit
on the new hires.

Is hiring 100 people feasible? Is it likely? Or was some manager just
throwing out an inflated number to turn some heads in the media?

I got no response from the two E-mails I sent the company about
detailed financial statements. I guess I'll call the 800 number.
I'll ask about the new hires too.

Just to tip the scale a bit, I'll vote yes for the reverse split,
since I have not purchased any Triby, YET.
