It is likely to persist if people put all their faith behind a vaccine.

But would that be the best solution if, i.e., you had a treatment that effectively eradicate the virus within days, like a cold that comes and goes?

The only catch is as soon as a person has symptoms, they must show up at a place that look at the symptoms, and on a finding of likely COVID-19, take one of two actions:

a) Go home & self-quarantine for a predetermined period, or

b) If they have co-morbidities, they receive a $20 Rx that cures it, usually within a few days.

Do we really NEED a vaccine? (I've never taken a flu vaccine, and probably will never; most people I know do not get one, yet it can be deadly as well).
