This is one of the most bizarre situations I've ever seen. I may be naive, but I could not have imagined our medical community reacting as it has.

This will make a fantastic case study on how quickly a non-political issue can, with an infusion of politics, become such a powerful persuasion that people will stand by and watch friends and relatives die rather than cave on their political views.

It is insanity.
