(Off Topic) Huge German bank covering risks in Asia

New York Times News Service

Peso may have to be devalued, Mexican officials say

The Dallas Morning News

The first direct warning came Tuesday from Jose Sidaoui, vice-governor of the Bank of Mexico, the country's central bank.

''If we don't work hard to and increase our productivity, the adverse international conditions could cause a depreciation of the peso. It's a possibility that cannot be ruled out,'' Sidaoui said in a radio interview.

Hi Paul: re: ORCL (yepper').. I'm still holding on what I said a couple of weeks ago (evaluate ~24-27 range, if it holds and looks good then 31 may be the exit point). The one that is bugging me now is DELL. Remember I told you I dumped it all a couple of weeks ago at 93 (bought in at 79)? Who'da thunk that sucker would still be going strong --- 98!!!! Arghhh. Oh well, at least I took $ off the table. The old saying - Bulls make money, Bears make money, "pigs" get slaughtered <grin>. I see a spike here in NOVL today ... Hmmmm...

I'll wait.

Regards,

Joe...

PS: Quad-K: re: Intel buyout of NOVL, and Barry. Matt is alluding to Barry Nance a journalist from BYTE magazine. About a year and a half ago, there was a big discussion on that subject. Barry was very high on NOVL, and it's market position, and price, and so on. (Just like me). He said he'd eat 2 floppy disks if the price wasn't "so and so" by that particular Quarter (I think Frankenberg was still the CEO at the time). Anyway, since then, Barry's been gone, so have everyone else, and well, you can look at the chart.

I'm sure some other people can bring up some refs to some old posts for you to review on this.
