Why would buying Magnecomp be a good idea for INVX....what could they bring to the table....to compete with HTCH in the conventional suspension arena is not wise (and lets not even think about competeing with them (in quantity) in the high end area (enterprise/server) (including and esp. TSA)...they are building out capacity as I'm sure you are aware and have dominated the suspension business for years...do you really think that HDD manf's would take a flyer on MagnaVex (nice name anyway :) when they know that if they need quality suspension in quantity they'd likely have to approach HTCH (and they need to keep HTCH happy on the low end cause they need (eventually anyway) their high end stuff)....I believe one needs to realize that the HDD manfs are very comfortable with HTCH and their manf. ability and they can't afford to "piss them off" as when this sector turns and components go to "on allocation" again who would be the first to have the pipeline stuffed....it seems to me that these folks have a mutual understanding....I guess what I'm saying is that I wouldn't go there (INVX + Magnecomp)...
