I'd just guess that there would be no significant short term effects on 3COM. The networking arena is quite big, diverse and growing - there's room fro a lot of growth by a lot of competitors. Re: "Covington (cacheless PII) is due in April" Sounds like it didn't take Intel quite as long as they thought it would to not put in those 4 extra memory chips and controller! Paul
