Thanks for all the varied responses.

I have traded many options for quite a few years, and am enjoying the current environment--pricing and volume can be really great lately.

For those looking to increase options knowledge and opportunity I recommend using TD Ameritrade and their ThinkorSwim platform. They are reasonable about approval for increased options trading levels which you will need. They have lots of information available and the ToS platform--after scratching your head getting used to the look of it for a short while--makes it really easy to handle rolling and evaluate potential rolling scenarios. I have written a lot of puts over the last year or so and will often roll them for really nice short term gains. Occasionally rolling is defensive to deal with a trade that moved too fast or the wrong way, but most of those do work out with patience.
