Thanks for the info Valueman.

It was my understanding from SEC filings that ABCN was a private company in Thailand.

ValueMan- You said "ABCN had to sell its controlling stake in L-Star to UCom, another Thai company, back in early fall"

Close, but it was IEC and M-Group that sold out their positions in ABCN last fall. If memory serves me correctly, UCOM and Loral picked up these positions and ABCN still remains a private company.

I have also heard (not confirmed) that Loral increased their position by buying more shares in another small private placement... don't quote me on that one, as I don't have documentation to back that up, but it might be found in LOR's 10-K

You won't find ABCN trading anywhere because it is still private.

I'm also curious about the $200 million Satmex slot... is that a leo or a geo slot?

Check out ABCN's web site for details on the major equity holders and plans:

I'm curious about why you came here if you never heard of Osicom... Were you invited by Craig?

Valeman, you mentioned that slots are worth about 200M. I recall that
a couple of years ago MCI paid 750M for the last DBS slot available for the U.S. market. This slot was to be used by the MCI/News Corp.
joint venture. Did MCI pay too 3 times too much or did they pay the
extra 250M because the slot covered the U.S.? Just curious.
