APCO drop today and how fast it happened....

According to Internet Trader, this is what happened in the span of 14 minutes this morning. I assume the times are delayed 15 miutes from real time.

Up to 10:05 AM 10,200 shares trade with the bulk between 6 15/16 and 7

From 10:06 to 10:11 30,000 shares between 6 7/8 and 6 1/2 with the bulk trading at 6 3/4 and 6 5/8

From 10:12 to 10:14 12,500 shares between 6 1/2 and 6 1/4 with the bulk of the trading between 6 3/8 and 6 1/4

From 10:15 to 10:17 3700 shares at 6 1/8

From 10:18 to 10:19 4000 shares at 6

After 6 at 10:19 there were 3 trades at 6 1/8 totaling 1700 shares then 1 at 6 3/8 for 3300 hundred shares then one at 6 7/16 for 1500.
The next trade didn't occur until 10:23 at 6 7/16 for 500

APCO went from 6 15/16 to 6 in less than 15 minutes on 50k shares. I'll let the intelligent people on this thread figure it out or draw their own conclusions. I personally have drawn mine.

Sergio,

Someone was playing around with this stock today. I had an open limit buy order in for 2500 at 6 1/4 that got filled on the way down and sold them at 6 15/16 not more than 25 minutes later. Couldn't resist. My basket is still pretty full with APCO. I now have another open limit to buy 2500 at you guessed it - 6 1/4. RECY has a habit of doing the same thing betwen 6 1/2 and 5 1/2, and I generally have an open limit order down in that area on that one too.

Seems like someone wants to sweep the board clean every once in a while.

regards,

Ed
