Miss Penni, Tis true--everything you say tis true. I am indeed unworthy of the admiration and accolades given unstintingly by the good people of DAR. I deserve all the slings and arrows you have thrown--and more--but refuse to tax further your kind reserve and the energy required to throw those slings and arrows. I fear to to ask, but which of Janices's small appliances did I break. Please, tell me it wasn't the shoe buffer. I know how she does so cherishes it. If I did, I shall replace it with one even better. And I shall buy Jeff a case of the finest beer, the kind that makes lots of foam. But truly, I did not see the Bete Noir, for it was black, and in my haste I forgot to turn on the lights. In the wake of this my grievously dastardly deed, I humbly approach in deep contrition seeking forgiveness and forebearance, because . . .
