No nomination of SystemSoft this year?!

Have you finally lost confidence in the gangsters?

Tower Semiconductor...Israeli-based independent "foundry" manufacturer of semiconductor integrated circuits...

Gary Kennedy had planned to spend $200m on an Israeli fab in 1996, so I asked him at the Orbit Semiconductor annual meeting how he planned to finance it, and he cryptically replied, "there are other ways." The DII takeover occurred 4 months later and I got my 50% gain.

PWAV--Powerwave...PWAV designs, manufactures and markets ultra-linear radio frequency power amplifiers for use in the wireless communications market....beaten-up because most of their business is in Korea...recently deals with Nokia/Nortel may help decrease their exposure to Korea...

Nokia has Korean exposure, so this is the same story as VLSI. Don't forget your customers' customers!

And, by the way, although these are not my "picks", I think we should include INTC and SYSF in the contest by default along with PTEC.

Jules nominated Intel. If we don't get 15 picks, I'll add SystemSoft, Award, Xionics, RadiSys, and Puma.
