Blue Dog Dems. Get up to date.
The "blue dog Democrats" are yesterday's news. They were only relevant when the Dems had a supermajority in the Senate, and they used the financial crisis to ram ObamaCare through.

The "yellow dog Democrats" have a long history, especially back in the old South when people declared that they would vote for yellow dog before voting for a Republican.

Now the "yellow dog Democrats" are back. I don't think it's a coincidence that you would bring up your own dog as a viable alternative to a Republican.
