Why do you fixate on the Atlantic, when there are other ocean basins and storms closer to you?

Simple, they are the ridiculous one.

There have been storms and hurricanes for millions of years.

Only the US will make a big hoopla of them.

That there are catastrophic instances that costs lives and property damages?
Sure there are.

But what I drive at it is the plain exploration to scare people

Isaias downgraded to Tropical Storm
You see, it became Category 1 as it was at sea and people could not feel it. As it approached the coast the NHC cannot fool people and downgrade it.

Just as I tweeted July 31st.

Isaias update
Remenber that Isaias was supposed to hit Florida?
it did not but guess what
it will be sticking to the coast all the way to the north

that means the storm, after being downgraded needs to be kept on the eye of the public.

(NOAA) says there is a 75% chance that La Nina conditions will persist through the winter, meaning more rain in the lowlands and more snow in the mountains.

ELMAT: As you know El Niño, La Niña and the neutral years in between are regular events, regular aspects of global weather patterns. Of course, for the ignorant masses it is "Climate Change"

Breadcrumbs Men

This is the new name of the people who populate TJ's thread

We are like ants preoccupied with our jobs of carrying crumbs in our minuscule lifetimes instead of having a broader perspective of the big-picture patterns and cycles, the important interrelated things driving them, and where we are within the cycles and what’s likely to transpire. From gaining this perspective, I’ve come to believe that there are only a limited number of personality types going down a limited number of paths that lead them to encounter a limited number of situations to produce only a limited number of stories that repeat over time.

Minnows can only live off bread crumbs from the feast the big beasts.
Message 27529094

I have always found success by backing smarter people than me and being paid trickle down crumbs from the superior beings.

Northern Dynasty Minerals (TSX: NDM) on Friday issued a technical report on its contentious Pebble project in Alaska, including a revised mineral resource estimate to confirm the mine’s potential for the production of rhenium.
...
In September, Tom Collier, CEO of Northern Dynasty’s US-based subsidiary Pebble Limited Partnership, submitted his resignation in light of comments made about elected and regulatory officials in Alaska in private conversations videotaped by an environmental activist group.

President Trump recently pledged in a tweet that there would be “no politics” involved in the review process.
