Do you know why they exclude Zn in the HCQ studies? My understanding is that the HCQ is the gate key to let Zn in to do its work.

Frank is right. Their excuse, I gather, is that the intent is to focus on one specific medication.

There are a few mechanisms for HCQ action - so, even without Zn there is some effect.
