lemme ask you a question..
56k is isdn.. you need isdn service on TWO lines.. by me that's about 200-250.. let's go with $250..
then you have the extras..the cost of the modem.. let's say another $250.
costs you $500.. and then you get to pay your isp{or elnk as the case could be} for the 56k time x2, and that would be a minimum of $70 a month.. and then you have thruput hourly charges..x2..
for $500 down and around 150 a month.. it is far cheaper and easier to pay your cable company a third of that, they come and install the modem, and you get 2-100 times faster speed.. for less money{none down} and less per month..
plus guaranteed connections.. and no hourly overtime..
shotgun may be good for places where cable ain't but..
it will be too costly for the average user..
elnk is not going anywhere with that..
