I'll answer this question first. You just need to buy a receiver that features Apple's AirPlay (or AirPlay 2) to do what you ask. Many, many recievers have AirPlay built into them now, including lower end ones.

If you're using a PC and not a Mac, AirPlay is still built into iTunes on your PC.

You'll need some additional software for the PC if you want to stream anything but audio. Check out this article:
