Stock BUll,

Ithought you said that analysts put their jobs on the line when they make a recommendation. Analysts spent some amount of time making an earnings estimate. Analysts seemed to have told SOMEone to dump the stock after the earnings came out, or set their clients up to sell if we didn't beat estimates by XX cents. Why would a competent analyst make an estimate and broadcast it when no guidance is given?

Maybe my point is that the analysts who recommended based on their own estimates, shouldn't have. If they're going to recommend, maybe they should look at the company in a broader scope, rather than a distilled factor like eps. If they prefer eps, then they should never have touched it.

I don't think the effect the analysts have will ever go away without a fundamental paradigm shift. That post earlier about Kurlak & MU is an example. What is up with that guy? Who knows, but everyone jumps whenever they say. Since we can't seem to get rid of them, IOM might as well give a little guidance.

Personally, I'd like to hear KE give us a little "it's ok" speech--doesn't seem unheard of during times like this.

I also wish he'd have given us the missing pennies from a different column of the earnings sheet. OH WELL.

sorry for the muddledness...
