Hu Yi Develops DVD MPEG-2 PC Card 01/29/98 Comline Daily News Telecommunications COMLINE NEWS SERVICE (Copyright 1998) Established last July, the new Taiwan-based company Hu Yi Technology has already been involved in producing communication, multimedia, network, and PC memory products, and is entering into the mass production phase. Hu Yi Technology will introduce its newly developed product, the DVD MPEG-2 PCMCIA Card at a product show on January 21. The new development of the product will allow notebook computers to be used for business and leisure activities. Within one-half of a year, the company already produces 33.6k and 56k fax modems and other communications products. The 56k fax modem supports US Robotics X2 and Rockwell K56flex. The company's network products include the 10 Base-T network card and the 100 Base-T high speed network card.
