Electric turbines do not sound like national security to me. The more countries are connected economically, the more they are inclined to play nice. Nobody wants to kill the goose that lays the golden egg. There is an argument for maintaining certain industries in case of emergencies. The pandemic has shown that in terms of medical supplies.
