To ALL, I spoke to IR at IDEC this morning. They have been receiving lots calls on investor interest and also made the statement that they were all smiling. Recently, Montgomery raised its EPS on IDEC for the year and is probably responsible for the upward price movement of late. EPS was thought to be raised due to interviewing of phycisians. Also, IDEC was invited at the last minute to the H&Q Healthcare Conference this past month. Although, they didn't have time to be well prepared, they were very pleased to be invited and the response from being there. Next month they will be at the Merrill Lynch Healthcare Conference (Feb 10th) and about a week later at First Boston Healthcare Conference. On the technical side, the Point & Figure chart is bullish and suggest a price movement to 68. Seems high now, but the last time it gave this indication to hit 46. Just so happened it topped out there before declining. Phase II results for IDEC151 are now expected to be out in Feb, rather then the end of this month. IMO things look very good for us IDEC investors in 1998. Don
