I had a similar discussion Sunday with my brother who is upgrading to Dish and still watches DVD quality video on an old 720 plasma TV.

He sells wine to restaurants and distributors in Napa so knows his wine... I haven't had alcohol in 32 years... just before he got this job I quit drinking.

Anyway, I kept trying to tell him the advantage of 4K on Amazon Prime seen on my OLED set spoils 1K HBO on my OLED set which still blows away DVD quality of Standard Netflix that he watches on a 720 plasma... yadda, yadda...

He gave up when I said "you are basically telling me you are perfectly happy with 'two buck Chuck' rather than the $200 per bottle wine your top customers are buying in bulk now." He stopped trying to justify his lack of video taste. You get what you pay for if bought from a quality seller and a quality brand like Samsung or LG.

When I drank, Two Buck Chuck was perfectly acceptable for me but now I can afford OLED and wouldn't go back.

Whatever you get, it will be a nice improvement for sure compared to 19 years ago! Enjoy!
