tonychen. Sorry, not understanding your question. Portfolio of large size? Do you mean large in $$$ or large in number of stocks held, or both? What are "high returns" that you are referring to? High stock market returns, high returns on equity, high profit margins?

I m not sure what you mean about financials being doubtful. insurance companies are one of the most scruitanized types of companies out there because of the insurance regulators who have to make sure companies have sufficient reserves to pay claims. I purchased more aig today and sold one month call against it. either I pick up a 5% one month return or I own the stock at $28.50. I am ok with either of those outcomes. I Listen to conference calls on gpor and stwd and read the transcript fo amcx which took a prety good hit today.
the stwd conference call really inspired confidence. happy to own a big chunk at lower levels and collect the nice distributions.

.
gpor confrence call was a bit bizarre. they did not field any questions. threw in something about them having to add a going concern note to to 10Q because of concerns about lining up bank financing because of bank cutbacks in loans to the industry. at the same time they were saying that they had hedge quite a bit of their 2020 gas production at $2.78 which is pretty good. the going concern issue is probably why the stock is tanking again. that an probably an unhappiness with management that probably does not address shareholder concerns adequately. I suspect that that they are doing this to sweeten the management incentive pot. if natural gas prices recover as i expect this stock will be multibagger from these levels but there is risk here.
