Even if they did mail out actual ballots and not applications, the ballots still have to be signed and the signature match what is on file.

The facility where I live put an application in every in-house mailbox complete with all instructions on their letterhead. I'd rather vote in person but I can't predict what conditions will be in November and I'm damn well going to vote so I sent it in. I know that many people here have routinely voted by mail and the place facilitates that but I had not seen any urging by management in previous elections. I suspect that they want to discourage our going out to the polling place. They won't be running buses. All our buses remain out of service since the lockdown.

Last week they tested residents and staff in just the healthcare portion of the community. That was part of a state and maybe federal effort to baseline test nursing homes. 106 of the 107 tests came back negative. Since the resident who tested positive had not been out for months, they retested and it was negative.

I just found out my grandpa, a lifetime Republican, is voting Democrat this fall.

This would’ve never happened if he were still alive!
