"So we have now four people who've said they've recently bought INTC shares:
EKS
me
bruwin (with whom I disagree regarding about everything he says about value)
Madharry."

WOW !!! ..... Now I'm not sure as to whether I should be "flattered" or "peeved" regarding your conclusion !! ..... {;-)

But, Hey, ..... we're all entitled to our opinions.

The one thing that I think I can put out there in my defense is my Indicative 5 Stock Portfolio that I publish on this board on occasion ......

4 of the stocks have provided a Capital Gain, excluding dividends, of just over 186% since 2012, even though virtually every stock on the US's stock markets went through the floor a few months ago.
A replacement stock, LRCX, has gained close to 42% since November last year, also despite the fact that it fell by 45% in Feb/Mar. this year. The late inclusion of LRCX into the portfolio last year was as a replacement of CL which proved to be a slow, but nevertheless, steady gainer. With LRCX in the portfolio the 5 stocks currently show close to a 155% Capital Gain, excluding dividends.
Since November LRCX has gained 41.7%, nearly 3 times CL's gain of 14.6%.
This 5 Stock Indicative Portfolio, and its performance, has always been available for anyone to see in the Header of my board at Subject 56822

With regard to your list as to who also recently purchased INTC shares, you left off the name of a regular contributor to this board and someone who, IMO, "knows his way around the stock markets", namely --->

But there again, despite the "disagreements" you say we have about "value", I'll still maintain and go along with what I said about you and this board over 14 years ago ---->

I sold my small intc position. I feel there are better uses for risk funds now. I realize that i am a tech ignoramous and i think the only time you can get a value play on a tech company is with a company that produces consumer products that has some brand recognition. and even then... look what a tough road its been for IBM investors. I went back today and added up the shares in my various accounts to see the relative size of my posiitions. 1. Softbank 2. Starwood. 3 IEP 456- AXU, BIDU NRZ . AXU is too speculative but it moved up quickly when silver moved hard.. I may trim and move to other precious metal situations.

IEP moves up nicely after reporting and announcing another quarterly distribution of of $2 dividend. the others down today. CNDT a stock i mentioned once before here reported good results and is trading over 65 million shares today! up over 80%. I will hold on for the ride. this is another honeywell spinoff. win some lose some.

I bought bac-c m ally-a and t for the income portfolio to add to nrz-a and aig. the more i think about it the more i think preferred dividends are mispriced relative to both money market and annuity rates.
