That's what the search results said, I did not calculate....multiple sources say the same.

metabolics.com

There are many forms of zinc compounds. The percentages of zinc in the compounds that Metabolics supplies is given below:

Zinc Picolinate 20%
Zinc Ascorbate 15%
Zinc Chloride 48%
Zinc Sulphate 22%
Zinc Carbonate 52%
Zinc Citrate 31%
Zinc Bisglycinate 25%

Ok, so I went back and re-checked the label to certify my memory and I believe the calculations while appreciated are unnecessary...

The label reads verbatim --

Zinc (From Zinc Citrate)................................30mg (I take one cap twice a day)

I think this means that they put enough Zinc Citrate in the caps to yield 30mg of elemental Zinc per cap. I'm open to other interpretations.

Thing that bothers me is that the label tells me that's 273% of daily requirement, hence my question.

Thanks and sorry for the confusion.
