"Here's a guy who has the good economic sense to
stear the country into what might be
a sustainable economic paradise,
putting hundreds of thousands of dollars into our
pockets, creating yet unseen wealth
for our selves and our kids for decades to come"

Max, You have got to be kidding?? right.
And how do we pay for paradise?? More government
and higher taxes. No Thanks.

And don't believe Big Tobacco will pay for everything.

Max,

MAYBE?!?!? Part of Clinton's first ellection strategy included a "Bimbo Eruption Unit" and he admited it! They (the ellection effort) were clearly worried about the number of women Clinton had "flirted" with.

How soon you forget Clinton rode into Washinton DC on a white horse, promising to clean up the corrupt/bad/disfunctional government.

Someone once said to me, "If you will cheat on your wife, you will cheat on anything."

>>And it's sad, because I firmly believe that most people (outside of SI) like Clinton<<
Polls regularly put Clinton as favored by between 43 and 48% of the electorate. This empherical evidence suggests "most" is an exaguration at best.

Many people, including greedy Republicans and sleezbag Liberals, invest in stocks. I would be willing to postulate that people on SI represent a relatively normal sample of the general populace. So if most of the people on SI are dogging Clinton there may be a clue in it for you. Plus Americans have historically had fun with any political leader that falls outside of what is considered normal good values. You may consider being REGULARLY unfaithful to your wife as a good value...but I don't. And finally, when you are in the public spotlight you are guilty until proven innocent.

I'm not ignorant of the fact that from 1828 to 1832 the Democrats were trying to get the South to accept a new tariff schedule (read higher taxes) and were willing to write salvey into the Constitution (read make it Constitutionally legal to own slaves) if the South would accept the new tax rate. I also realize that 5 different Democrat controlled Congresses shot down Women's Sufferage (read women's right to vote) and it was not until Republicans gained control of Congress for a brief two years that the people were given the opportunity to decide if they wanted to let women vote or not (read vote on the proposed Constitutional Amendment). I also realize that it was a Democrat that promised the American people there would be no involvement in Vietnam. 8 years and 650,000 dead Americans later it was a Republican that finally got us out of Vietnam. I remember it was a Democrat Senator that killed his secratary and got away with it (read Chappaquitick (sp?). So you may be right, we probably should not be concerned with a Democrat President who only sleeps around on his wife :-((((
